School Home PageThis is the Home Page of a Registered School. New Users click on the ‘New User’ button.  Registration PageParents fill out a simple Registration Form, including information about how they'd prefer their child to travel to school, which is sent to the School Secretary for approval.  School Home PageOnce approved parents go back to the School Home Page and enter their e-mail address and password to access the system. Journey PageThe parent can see their journey and the financial savings they could make by choosing not to drive. They are also shown how much carbon dioxide they could save. This is the page where parents search for other parents with whom to share the school run.  Results PageThe parent is shown a selection of other parents living nearby. The journeys are listed in order according to the direction the parents are heading to get their children to school.  Send Journey RequestThe parent can e-mail other parents through the secure on-line e-mail system and arrange to share the school run.  School Administration PagesThe school is given access to Administration Pages which enable the Secretary to monitor uptake of the scheme.  Active ParentsThe school can see a list of all parents who've signed up to the service.  Add ParentsThe school can also add parents who don't have access to the internet.  Routes to SchoolIn addition, schools can add any existing routes to school, thereby encouraging uptake of walking bus initiatives, school buses or cycle trains. These will be displayed as 'matches' for relevant parents.  Eltham FeatureSchools can also do an analysis of all parents and their postcodes, enabling every parent to be matched with other parents.  School StatisticsLastly, the school can see statistics for the whole scheme i.e. how many miles and pounds would be saved if all parents gave up their car journeys to school.    |
